Hi David and colin (and others)

Thanks for the warm welcome

Yes I have visited Colins homepage and saw he has been quite busy (and still
is) Way to go Collin.
As of the CF(Compact FLash) interface. Its nice to hook up instead of a hard
drive.
Especially if you use the original powersupply.

But compact flash does not neccesary need to be hooked up as a IDE device.
As a mather of fact you can hook it up directly to the sam edge connector(or
drive connector)
without any additional hardware other than a CF and SAM connector with a
couple of wires between them. Use two CF connectors and you get a two drive
CF system very handy on for exchanging software.
This wireing scheme takes advantage of the CF 8bit mode which will be faster
the IDE.
The only disadvantage with this scheme is that there is no software yet that
supports it
with the IDE scheme you can use B-DOS. I also don't have plans at the moment
for writing
some sort of DOS(extension) for it. But with the possibility of a SAM GUI on
its way (which I happily would contribute to) who knows ...

Thanks for link to the mail archive Collin.

Well I'll be off reading the mail archive now.
