Sam Disk TOCs

Um, how hard is it to read a file listing from a SAM DISK image (either SAMDOS or MasterDOS) and how does the TOC work so I can figure out how to load it on the PC? Only I'm thinking of writing summat to load and convert screens and graphics and the like and was wondering if it's more hassle than it's worth?   Ta'   Graham
