I've used it quite a bit now - but to be honest the only thing it does that E-Tracker doesn't is portamento. Add that to the fact it's got irritating pointer-based control, and looks like some sort of horrid Amiga tracker, and it unfortunately looks pretty bad. Strange really, considering BZYK wrote Soundtracker for the speccy, and E-Tracker is more like that than Pro Tracker.
On the subject of memory - the newer version of E-Tracker (2.3) that's downloadble from the archive is perfect, has far more pattern positions, and the timing is much better - but it doesn't have a compiler :( Anyone in Sam-land up to the job? My skills in Z80 coding are pretty much nil -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of david Sent: 25 October 2004 15:11 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: New Musical Release --- Slitscan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Presented in SaaPlay and both original and compiled > E-Tracker formats, an > epic of misery and running out of pattern-memory in > E-Tracker ;) Sounds like a hack of e-tracker is in order to increase pattern memory? Is this possible? BTW - other than the incredibly talented Howard - how many other people have had any luck with Protracker?
