If I remember the figures correctly that were quoted from when the framed
gold ASICs were originally sold, it cost MGT 50,000 pounds for the batch of
40 prototype chips.

Having been after one for years for my own collection,  I think that the 103
pounds I paid out for that one earlier was a bargain... I just need to find
a suitable spot to hang it now!
