Hi all my friends who have email accounts! Well, now the end of term is here, so I've just finished my last exam and now I'm off into pastures afresh to do some long-awaited lolling around (which is really no different to what I've been doing anyway, but who's counting?)
I'll come in occasionally to check my email, so don't be afraid to drop me a line. What I am to be doing this summer: Writing software for people. Hopefully I should knock out about 3 or 4 major bits and bobs, including Comms Terminal software, a Defender clone, a Disc-Operating system and maybe a few demos. Writing articles for people. With a bit of luck, I'll have a job as a freelancer somewhere. At worst, I'll send off some articles and see what sticks. Finishing writing my book. By the time I'm back it should be finished. I aim to have it with a publisher by October 1st, in time for my next term :) This'll mean it's out in the shops for Xmas. I'll also be revising all the stuff I did this year in the hope of bolstering my knowledge... if I've messed up these exams, it's probably due to a combination of events which have happened this year, which I won't go into detail about, but it was all pretty icky. And also, if time permits I might try to design some hardware, start learning a new language, go to the Lake District for a weekend and basically mellow out. With a bit of luck I will get to visit the love of my life (or she will come over here), although that's just me being me and assuming that (a) this is a perfect world and (b) the distance isn't as far as it really is. Anyway, this is Simon Cooke, not really signing off for the summer, saying bye for now. Take care, and have a good one. Hugs, Si
