This may be a silly question, but have you tried connecting the Sam to the TV via the UHF output ot see whether the same thing occurs? It could be a temporary phosphor overload-type thing. I remember when I used to connect my speccy to the TV one corner would slowly turn pink and another would slowly turn green, but the effect was not visible while watching normal TV programmes. Not that I know anything about TVs, of course... imc
