Perhaps some of you remember my mysterious error with my SAM. It worked (aprantly) OK, until it started scrolling things on the screen and moving sprites etc. Either it didn't scroll propperly or it left a trail of the sprite, etc.
I also mentioned that I had checked everything; ASIC, RAM, surrounding logic, THE WORKS. My only theory was that it could be that one or more instrucions inside the Z80B was corrupted. So (after 4 months of nagging) I got a replacement (I was a bit surprised here as it came together with my copy of Format and absolutely free of charge) the other day, and yesterday, I finally found the time to solder on a socket and try it out. AND...it worked! Horray!
