I assume you refer to my posting with http://www.cern.ch/~frodet/samcont.html?
This was ment as a service to those who have access to www - quite
a significant number if I'm not mistaken. And I know quite a lot
of people that usess graphic based www-browsers on dial access.
However, you can also access www with terminal based browsers.
One alternative is lynx which is run from your local account, or you
can telnet to www.cern.ch and log in as 'www'.

As to the point on how much it has to do with the SAM, I agree, but
www hasn't really got much to do with anything ;)
