As it happens, i am using 16bit colour, i'll try it in 8-bit and see, i get a simmilar problem trying to run xquake. It's likely to be something i'm not doing, i've only just got into Linux, and as you do, only reading half the docs :) Thanks. -- Dean Liversidge
