Nice to see you!

Sounds like it's the soundchip to me as well (I think the POW etc was routed
through the beeper ... which is not soundchip controlled ... :(

Uncle Bob should help with the floppy and the sound chip... Come on Bob,
help out these two nice gentlemen please :)

David

...can it be the sound chip if the POW and stuff is still working? i thought
they came out of the sound chip, from instructions from the processor (i
could be speaking nonsense here).. i just didnt think they were
pre-programmed into the sound-chip... i could be wrong.... i guess i should
check the tech. manual... :o)...

anyway.... while im here (just found this list exists).... i haven't used my
sam for about a year... got transported off into the willy-nilly land of pc
& mr. billy gates.... they forced me to learn pascal at college (instead of
C which would be useful on a sam), and then x86 assembler (which again, is a
waste of time on a sam)... but!... i figure it'd be a good start to start
getting fred again.. if it still exists (which it *must*)... anyway.. whats
the address?.... so i can have something to ceremonially stick into the old
blighter on first-bootup-after-a-year (...crrrunch, grinndnd.. oh... i need
a new disk drive)....

thanks for any help,

martin fitzpatrick
