In my book the use of the SAM character in SAM stuff is perfectly
justified, and should be encouraged. I can imagine that the copyright
holders would be eager to see the image used in this way, especially
considering it was originally intended to be associated with the
machine.

However, I do not approve of the use of the character to promote
unrelated or things that go against the SAM. 

I consider anyone who uses it unaccredited, and suggests it is their
own work, totaly out of order. This is the issue at hand.

Any difference of opinion on the list concerning the rights of other
members is irrelevent.
