I still rate your SAM conversion of Gilsoft's Professional Adventure Writer (PAW) utility as one of the most useful bits of SAM software I have. It's great for converting my old Spectrum 128k PAW adventures from tape to SAM disk format.
By the way, I went to the Adventurer's Convention in Birmingham a couple of weeks ago and saw a PC utility called ACE (I think) which is being written, and is very similar to PAW, but with much more space for thousands of locations, objects, etc. Don't write text adventures off just yet, anyone!
