Hey there Richard Moore If it were up to me to recommend a good Sam Emulator, I'd say "WinCoupe or SimCoupe32 for SimCoupe for Win32 or whatever they're calling it these days". The only alternative I'm aware of is the plain-ol' vanilla "Sim Coupe" which looks a little less pretty and sounds a lot less pretty.
If you're system's up to it (and I believe WinCoupe works adequately on a P166) go for WinCoupe. I think it would prefer you to have a pentium2 or equivalent for the ultimate experience, but hey, it worked on my K6 alright. (and it works rather nicely on my Athlon too :) As for disk convertors, I'm would blow my own trumpet say "SamDsk.exe" does the job. People also use some software that creates ".sad" disk images, but I've not used it so cannot vouch for it. I expect it's way better than my old tool.
