Its is possible to format track w/o any ID at all :) But you can not read them back =) But it is almost impossible to read disks with incorrect side marks, etc. E.g. standard Beta 128 disk can't be readed w/o special tricks (preliminaly formatting on PC and writting the data on Beta 128, and reading image on PC). > And of course you can't read GCR, but 1793 type controllers can't > too (I think, but must try...).
