each 'DAC' are 8 bits wide. The latches are of the positive edge triggered type a inverter is added to the stoble to get a strobe and a inverted strobe signal so when the stobe changes (hi to lo) a latch is triggered and when it changes again (lo to hi) the other latch is triggered.
