Yes you've got a version 1 rom which has a bug that causes the No Dos error

to boot anyway do a CALL 229385 for a 256K SAM or a CALL 491529 to continue
booting DOS

I also remember that with ROM 1.0 the auto file loading(afterpressing F9)
doesn't work so you have to
enter LOAD "auto*" manually

If you know somebody who can program 32K eproms I can send you the contents
of ROM 3.0 or my
BOOTROM3.0 that autoboots after a reset.

>From knowing you have a SAM with version 1 rom:
When your SAM has a ghost image (cursor echoing/fading several characters)
you can overcome this by
soldering a piece of wire over component L5 wich is at the left of the black
square chip in the middle of the T shaped PCB.

when you turn on or reset your SAM make sure you don't have a disk
in your drive cause your disk might be corrupted unless your sam has the DPU
unit (a small PCB somewhere close the square chip) which prevents this from
happening

I'll think I'll put my SAM Eprommer disk inline soon which SAMROM 1.0,
SAMROM 2.0,SAMROM 3.0, BOOTROM 3.0 and HDBROM1 and HDBROM2 and software for
my singlechip epromprogrammer.
