I encountered this after waking my SAM up for the first time in ages. Tim's (I think - deleted the message) suggestion of removing the disk and hitting reset a few times worked for me - I eventually got the noise from the drive that one used to associate with a corrupted disk during reset. Can only assume that a spike in the power to the controller chip resets something. Dave
