Hi! As far as I know there are still SAM purists here, which uses a real SAM. And also I know, that several of them has problems with the keyboard (me too). So where is a better place to discuss this problem as here?
A possible solution could come from the good old Spectrum. When comparing, the SAM keyboard matrix includes the Spectrum matrix, what means, the SAM keyboard matrix is an extended Spectrum one. And there was some "better" keyboards with more keys then the usual Spectrum has had (Eve, Memotech, Stonenchip...). Some people here will take a look for an external solution in form of an add-on keyboard. It should be a cheap solution. A way to do this on the Spectrum was an Interface which connects a PC board with the Spectrum. Another way could be an USB interface for an external USB keyboard via IO-Ports. Also a possible way. So why writing this? We need a bit more of information. Is there anything about the ASIC chip? And when, where to find? And of course all about the keyboard itself. Hopefully anybody understands this all (it is still a mind project). Technical english is not my thing. But any information would be great and is welcome. Cheers. Wo from WoMo-Tea,
