Hmmm.... tried it, this reminds me of the old SC-hard disc interface.

When either of the drives is connected to either of the connectors everything
works correctly.
If both drives are connected (it does not matter which is master and which is
slave) all READ operations work correctly.  HOWEVER, write operations fail
approximately in 10% of the cases resulting in corrupted data.  It does not
matter if I am writing to the master or the slave.

Any ideas?  Or will I really have to use floppies to transfer data between
drives???

Another 'weird' feature that you always happen to come across when other things
go wrong.  Try the following program with BDOS:

10 for f=1 to 30
20 print at 0,0;f
30 list
40 save "screen "+str$f screen$
50 next f

After having saved the first screen an inverted question mark appears after the
'screen$' when LISTing. If a 'CLS' is inserted at line 15 then the question mark
is no longer shown....
