I don't know exactly what the Amstrad PSUs contained, but in the Sam PSU the TV modulator is mounted on a small PCB. On the reverse side of the PCB are the words "Miles Gordon Technology" in copper, like it's a part of the wiring (i.e. not just a printed-on-afterwards label).
