Ghm... I do not think it will be big and expensive. Lets take a Sprinter for example. Firstly it has small main board. And secondly you can change it's internal "hardware" to be compatible with everything you want, even with your very own things. Price of Sprinter main board = 90USD, price of KAY-1024k main board = 85USD. So this is not as expensive as you think.
