i've heared that the keyboard membrane often breaks, on the old 48 k speccies it broke just above the connector on the PCB, i cured that by cutting off the membrane about 2 cm or so above the break and putting it back in the connector (this worked on about 8 spectrums)
i dont know if this'll work on a SAM Coupe, as i've not taken mine apart yet you could try using a multimeter to find the break, then repair it with a 'silver conductive pen' or someone here once mentioned that you can buy new membranes somewhere!
