Agreed. :)

BTW, does anyone know what I have to do with a TD0 file to convert it
to a dsk or sad for use in simcoupe?

With large numbers of files, the size matters quite a lot actually... so
I'd really want to go with sad.gz.

BTW, what needs to be done to convert a sad file to a dsk and vice-versa?
Dsks appear to be simple raw 819200 byte (800k) files. So what's a sad
version 1 and a sad version 2? Is version 2 *exactly* the same, but
gzipped? (I.e. can I gunzip a version 2 sad.gz and expect it to work as a
version 1 sad without any potential problems?)

What does SDF do (which SAD doesn't do)?

Isn't your SAMplay format the only thing we've got? I've got no idea how
to do it anyway. :-(
