It's only done when inserting a disk - not as tho it's part of the main emulation loop - so what's the problem? Perhaps we could add a '-impatient' command-line option for the people not willing to wait a fraction of a second for it to detect the file size/type? ;-) > Seeking in compressed stream is something ***consored***.
