Yeah, it takes a while to figure out the tricks and tasks needed to get a successful colony going. You're dead within minutes if you don't do things right, and it took me a while to figure out how to really get it going. When I was adding the extra sound all those years ago I was able to keep a colony running for hours after playing it for a couple of weeks! But alas I didn't keep any notes, although something seems to linger in my memory as a few days ago when testing the SR cover disks I did get a Colony up and running, and mining away successfully. It's a very nice 'Sim' game though, just a bit of a learning curve. I asked Derek about it for the interview, so the reasons for the style of the game are in his answers...
