Is there documentation or some information available about the disk
image formats SimCoupe supports?
The SimCoupe documentation covers all the supported disk image
containers, with some technical details on each. I don't think there's
a single reference covering all of them, but the SimCoupe source code
does have all the structures you'd need.
I wouldn't worry about .td0 or .sdf images as they're both legacy
formats that are being phased out. Most of the TeleDisk images have
been converted already and there were only a couple of public images
created in .sdf format. EDSK (.dsk) can handle pretty much all of what
those formats do anyway, and is the preferred format for new dumps.

Don't forget that .dsk could be an old-style 819200 byte dump, like
.mgt, or it could be a new-style EDSK image. SimCoupe doesn't rely on
the file extension at all, checking for the EDSK signature and falling
back on .mgt for 800K images. IIRC it also treats 737280 as DOS-style
9-sector images, for CP/M support.

The SAM Technical Manual covers the logical format on the disk:
ftp://ftp.nvg.ntnu.no/pub/sam-coupe/docs/manuals/software/SAM%20Coup%E9%20Technical%20Manual.zip
For working code see the SAM .dsk manipulator source at the bottom of
Andrew Collier's page here:

Let me know if you need any more details on any of the above...
