i need to use virtual dub to convert avi to an old avi format or segmented avi
using virtual dub please help...

Capture Programs often output a MPG file just renamed to AVI, in this
case Retro-X crashes.
Use Virtual Dub's build in Hex editor to check the AVI file if it has a
MPEG Fourcc. You can use Virtual Dub to convert the file to real AVI
with XviD/DivX compression. If your computer has the correct filter
installed, Retro-X will accept them.
