I've got a Win32 binary for the current SVN build that you can try... The sounds code is built-in now, so there won't be a problem with that particular SAASound.dll.
Most virus-scanner false-positives I've run into have been related to using UPX to compress the modules. Seems odd that an open format and reversible compression would make any difference to the detection.
