I downloaded samba-2.2.3a-20020206.i386.rpm from the Redhat 7.2 folder of samba.org and tried to install it on my Redhat 7.1 system (which is currently running samba 2.2.2). I got an error saying I need "libreadline.so.4", which is already there in /usr/lib/libreadline.so.4 (readline 4.1 and readline-devel 4.1). What could be wrong? Will I need to rebuild the 7.2 rpm from source on my 7.1 system before it will work? Should I upgrade to a later version of readline? Why is there an rpm for Redhat 7.2 but not for 7.1?
