We are not aware of any problems in the Debian Samba packages that
could cause a kernel Oops. And I don't see how smbd could cause a
kernel Oops. Maybe there is a kernel bug here? What kernel version are
you running?

Maybe Vorlon has some suggestions. Vorlon?
