Did you modify the spec file? Have you looked at the file listed here
(it changes each time) to see exactly where it fails? You can then refer
back to the spec file to see where the error is.

Of course, more output would be helpful in tracking this down, but your
error is in the %prep section, probably after %setup, so there isn't
really much to check. If you still don't come right, you should consider
posting a bit more output, and the section (%prep in your case) that is
giving an error, ie the section of the spec file between %prep and %build.

Since you are compiling from source anyway, you may consider using the
latest version of samba, which is currently 2.2.6.

<plug>Mandrake 8.1 and later ship with out-the-box support for ACLs on
XFS, 9.0 with ACL support on ext2 and ext3. Of course, samba in all
those distros has ACL support. There are RPMS of the latest samba
available on the samba ftp mirrors for Mandrake 8.0 and later compiled
both with and without ldap support, including integration of the
smbldap-tools. </plug>

(AFAIK, SuSE may also ship with ACL support, and in 9.0 they apparently
ship with ldap support which can be enabled at run time).

Buchan
