Hi! Today I've installed the Samba on our Alphaserver ES45. Its OS is a Tru64 UNIX V5.1B, the Samba package was "samba-2.2.7-Tru64-OSF5.1.tar.Z".
My problem is, if I want to copy to our server a large file (eg. a DVD-ISO, approx. 4.5GB), the file becomes truncated. The file's size will be exactly 2^31 bytes on server. Via FTP I can copy as large files as I want. (It seems, the file-position pointer rolls around or something similar happens.) I tried to compile from source, but the downloadable v3.0.0 of Samba hadn't compiled, it stopped with an error. Can you tell me any solution? Thanks: szilva
