Apparently pointers to data objects and pointers to functions don't necessarily need to have the same representation. The only reason for this I can possibly imagine is backwards compatibility to some MS-DOS memory models where function pointers might have 32 bit whereas data pointers might have 16 bit. So I've got a question: Is there a general type specification for "This is a function, don't look at any function signature!" in standard C?
