Hello, we use Samba 2.2.5 as a PDC. Profiles and Printer drivers are stored on the server. Server OS is Solaris 7 intel.
HowTo show the problem: Freshly installed WinNT SP6a Workstation. User Fred logs on. In his profile Printer A is defined. User Fred logs off (Please note, that Fred didn't print with the freshly downloaded and installed printer driver). User Joe logs on. His profile also knows about Printer A. When he tries to print on Printer A, the application is terminated by Dr. Watson. Now any printrequest to Printer A will fail and terminate the calling Application. To make the workstation printing again you need to delete all registry keys below HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows NT x86\Drivers\Version-2 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Providers\LanMan Print Services\Servers and all driver files.
