I ran this command today and was startled.  Am I calling the ls command in a bad way?    Or could this be a bug?

 

It doesn’t happen all the time…   only on a few machines in our network.

But it happens all the time on those machines.

 

If you need any more info, I’ll try to get it for you, but right now I’m stumped.

 

Please respond with any info you might have.       This version is 2.2.6 pre1    compiled on Freebsd using ports.
