Hi all. I would appreciate each advice on how to solve problem with
slow printing for user has "administrator rights". I use my SAMBA server like print server. I am making a migration from samba 2.2.2 to 2.2.7. I got strange effect, USER which has "administrator
rights" prints very-very slow. (Print NT test page takes about 300
seconds, but finished well). Regular users (mapped like guests) still print quickly (Print
NT test page takes about 2-3 seconds). With previous SAMBA 2.2.2 version all was OK (Times look the
same) I make captures with "Sniffer" and I have seen
that user with administrator rights make more intensive network traffic. 15K frames instead 0.5 K frames for guest user. It looks like SAMBA and driver together decide update/exchange
for any additional piece of data. It looks that driver makes a lot of "_spoolss_enumprinterdata" command. (Sniffer see "Operation
number 72" = 0x48 => SPOOLSS_ENUMPRINTERDATA) Can somebody explain this effect and make advice how to solve
it. Thanks, |
