Can anyone give me some insight view on > winreg. Help on this will be appriciated, Samba creates a read-only virtual registry. A writable copy would need a full blown ACL implementation I think. COuld be a funn learning experience for someone but it wasn't important enough for me just yet to do it. See rpc_server/srv_reg*.c registry/*.c The idea is to create a skeleton registry out of a tdb and then provide a table of function pointers for linking in other tdbs. Only the nt*tdb's are hooked in right now. cheers, jerry ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hewlett-Packard ------------------------- http://www.hp.com SAMBA Team ---------------------- http://www.samba.org GnuPG Key ---- http://www.plainjoe.org/gpg_public.asc "You can never go home again, Oatman, but I guess you can shop there." --John Cusack - "Grosse Point Blank" (1997) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://quantumlab.net/pine_privacy_guard/ iD8DBQE+R/VqIR7qMdg1EfYRAokRAKCTWeQ+zbtr1fvCUb4JaDABo/fUQgCg7wYZ s2GO12++Ahsf+iSaBXzlWTg= =Y6E/ -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
