[Samba] Converting Unix passwd to encrypted state in smbpasswd

Hello All,

I was wondering if anyone knows of a utility to convert unix aix 4.3.3 passwd
file to encrypted state. The users can only access the Unix file servers if the
smbpasswd is encrypted.  Currently, I'm manually changing the accounts by having
the users re-enter their passwords via smbpasswd.   There must be a quicker way.
Help please.
