Google searches reveal I am not the first to get this result on Solaris 8
(using gcc-2.95.3)
Linking shared library bin/smbwrapper.so
ld: fatal: too many symbols require `small' PIC references:
have 2081, maximum 2048 -- recompile some modules -K PIC.
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [bin/smbwrapper.so] Error 1
Please explain a workaround if any exist, thanks
