If the user is log into the domain, then when s/he changes the computer pasword, the domain password is changed as well, in win2k just press crtl, alt delete and choos password, in win9x go to the controlpanel, passwords and choos the change other password option.

The samba server is setup as the PDC, and the Win clients do not have any access to the Samba server except through, well ...samba. They cannot ssh to into the box to change their passwords.
