Hi,
I just installed
Redhat 7.2 with samba-2.2.1a on a linux machine. I connected the linux machine
to
a wireless router,
which is connected to a hub. I run WinXP Pro PC which is connected to the
same
hub. There is no
problem for me to connect to the samba server from machines attached to the
wireless
router, ( one Mac OS
X & one Win98), but I can't connect to the samba server from the WinXP
Pro
machine. I put the
IP address of the linux machine as the WINS in WinXP and enable NETBIOS
over
TCP/IP. Everytime
when I try to use "net view \\linuxmachine" or "net view \\IP of the linuxmachine", I got
the error message
"System error
53 has occured"
and " The network
path was not found" .
Can anyone help me
to look into this? Thanks a lot.
