[Samba] ClearCase and Samba

We have a samba 2.2.3 and Rational ClearCase 2002.05.20 implementation at our company.  This configuration worked without a problem from April to August however now the users are getting a "Connect As" string from their Windows 2000 machines.  If the users do an ipconfig /release and /renew the problem goes away for the day, however it reoccurs everyday.
