[Samba] SWAT is not starting. Please help?

I am running RedHat 8.0 and Samba 2.2.6.  I already provided a proper xinetd file and appointed port 901 in /etc/services.  What am I still missing?  Also, does a log exist which gets updated when swat is attempted?  If so, I can look there and see if any error messages are recorded with each SWAT attempt.
