I'm going to try this version on our Redhat 7.2 development server - compiling now. Anyone want to share experiences? Is it working OK?

The official position is that a 2.2.x config file should work out of the box with Samba 3.0. The main exception to this is thatr "encrypt password + yes" is now the default. If you require plain text authentication, you will need to set this accordingly in the config file. Feedback on this is much appreciated. cheers, jerry ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Hewlett-Packard ------------------------- http://www.hp.com SAMBA Team ---------------------- http://www.samba.org GnuPG Key ---- http://www.plainjoe.org/gpg_public.asc ISBN 0-672-32269-2 "SAMS Teach Yourself Samba in 24 Hours" 2ed "You can never go home again, Oatman, but I guess you can shop there." --John Cusack - "Grosse Point Blank" (1997) -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.0 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://quantumlab.net/pine_privacy_guard/ iD8DBQE95NvvIR7qMdg1EfYRAqDpAKCl7VnMRXGHy49sre9lAn5zZE1EkQCgmY1T lf4FVjilKh31Xq958KzVCS8= =1ChS -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: http://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: http://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba
