Thanks for the reply. up to this point, I have been using src rpm's from
Fedora and rebuilding on my system. I have been thinking for a while to
switch to compiling from a tar ball.
Not being very experienced at changing compile flags while rebuilding
rpms, I will do some more reading on that and see if I can do it there
first.
