Hi, Running samba 3.4.0-3ubuntu5.1 on an Ubuntu 9.10 installation. I've previously been running ubuntu intrepid ibex (samba 3.2.3).
Since the upgrade I've had issues with a device not finding any wokrgroups/domains when doing an nmb lookup. The device is a wireless music player that can make an SMB connection and has worked fine until the upgrade. When sniffing the network, I get a log (trimmed) that looks likethis: NBNS Name query response NB 192.168.1.3 NBNS Name query response NBSTAT BROWSER Get Backup List Response NBNS Name query response NB 192.168.1.3 TCP netbios-ssn > ddrepl [SYN, ACK] Seq=0 Ack=0 Win=5840 Len=0 MSS=1460 TCP netbios-ssn > ddrepl [ACK] Seq=1 Ack=72 Win=5840 Len=0 NBSS Positive session response TCP netbios-ssn > ddrepl [ACK] Seq=5 Ack=123 Win=5840 Len=0 SMB Negotiate Protocol Response TCP netbios-ssn > ddrepl [ACK] Seq=102 Ack=287 Win=6432 Len=0 SMB Session Setup AndX Response; Tree Connect AndX TCP netbios-ssn > ddrepl [ACK] Seq=201 Ack=390 Win=6432 Len=0 SMB Trans Response, Error: TID invalid The crucial part seems to be the response that the TID is invalid when it's trying to setup the session. In the samba logs I see lines such as: [2009/11/28 12:54:39, 1] smbd/service.c:1110(make_connection) make_connection: refusing to connect with no session setup I can't quite follow what's going on and why it's failing. Any ideas? Andy -- To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the instructions: https://lists.samba.org/mailman/options/samba
