Hi,

I need some help with accessing across Samba domains.
I can access the Samba shares with my Win98 machine,
but can't seem to access the server with my Win2K
laptop.

>From my Win2K laptop, I can access the network
neighborhood. I can access the domain, but I can't
access either machine (my Win98 or the Samba server)
on the domain.

The error I get is:

\\server is not available

There are currently no logon servers available to the
logon request.

My Win2K machine is may work laptop and is registered
on my work domain. Is this the problem?

I have noticed that nmb will not stay running.

This is how my network is setup:

linux firewall/router:
Bering LRP
DNS server
DHCP server

linux server:
Redhat 8.0
Samba server
Domain controller
NIS server

everyday workstation:
Win98

laptop:
Win2K

Thanks is advance,

Minh
