Hello I have a problem after migrating from Samba server a Debian Woddy / Samba 3.0.4 server to a new Debian Lenny / Samba 3.5.3 (Debian-package Sernet downloaded from the site Samba: Windows Seven computers for the next to connect).
I followed the method described in the manual Samba (samba.org recovered from the site) SAMBA3-ByExample.pdf, Chapter 8.3.2 The new server has the same name, the same SID for the server, the same SID for domain as the old server. the SID of users (users or machines) is the same as the old server the SID of the groups is also similar. However, authentication is denied for 70% of computers with the error message: _netr_ServerAuthenticate3: netlogon_creds_server_check failed. Rejecting auth request from client xxx machine account xxx$. All computers are Windows XP Pro. I deleted the machine account and I recreated: the problem persists. I did change the log level of 2 to 10, but nothing in the log file of the machine indicates to me the cause of the error. I do not understand why the authentication works for some items and not for others. I found nothing in the various manuals (paper and electronic) and existing forums on the Internet. Can you tell me solutions?
