this is probably an error that comes into play by some additional sunfreeware packages that you installed. We have a Solaris 10 machine in the build farm which compiles fine with gcc and with the studio compiler:

From the error you post I guess you have some gettext related stuff which requires some extra linker flags. Can you tell which package provides libintl on your box.
