Hello everybody.

We had a Samba 3.024 on a old computer. It's disks begun to fail and we decided to replace the computer with a new one. I installed a Lenny and a Samba 3.2.5.

I've two problems of slowness :

* If I open a large pdf ( around 5 Mbytes ) on any computer and if I want to print it ( directly from the computer to the printer, we do not use Samba as a print server ) that takes a very long time for the first page to be sent to the printer. With the old server, that took only some seconds. If I transfer the pdf on the computer and print from it, all is perfect. * A software running on multiple computers is very slow since the setup of the new server. It has some data files ( 10 ) on the samba.

These happend on every workstation or laptop we have !

When I navigate into the new Samba's shares, I do not notice any slowness neither when I open a document. I tried to transfer a huge file and It was done with a speed nearly my network card capacity ( 100 Mbits/sec ).

The load of the server and it's memory usage are very slow. All shares are open read/write to everyone.

Any idea to solve it ?

This is my config file. Thank for your help.

Michel.
